What does ownership establish?
A title deed records ownership after the transaction is completed at the land registry. A reservation form or promise to sell does not itself transfer title. If your purchase is connected to immigration status, have a qualified adviser assess the specific property and your circumstances before making a payment.
Property ownership and residence permits
Türkiye’s Presidency of Migration Management lists property owners among those who may apply for a short-term residence permit, subject to the applicable conditions and supporting documents. Buying a property does not automatically grant a residence permit. Eligibility and the final decision depend on the application and current requirements, so consult the official guidance for your individual case.
Citizenship by investment requires separate review
Türkiye’s Investment Office explains the investment-based citizenship routes and associated conditions. Depending on the case, the process may involve value, valuation, payment records, restrictions on disposal and approval by competent authorities. Rules can change. Do not rely on an advertised threshold or a verbal promise that a particular property “guarantees a passport”.
