Türkiye offers a wide range of manufacturing and wholesale suppliers. The lowest unit price, however, says little about whether an order will arrive with the agreed quality and paperwork. Specifications, sampling, production timing, packaging and destination-market rules decide whether a first order becomes a reliable supply relationship.
1. Start with a specification, not a product photo
Write down the item, materials, dimensions, colours, quantities, labelling, packaging and accepted quality criteria. State the destination market because conformity requirements differ. Request a written quotation that identifies what is included, the minimum order quantity, production time and quote validity.
2. Verify the supplier and approve a sample
Check company identity, address, registration details and official contact channels. Compare quotations against the same specification; a lower price may reflect a different material or quantity. Keep an approved sample, photographs and measurement notes as the reference for final inspection.
3. Put production and shipping terms in writing
Agree payment stages, packaging, delivery point, responsibility for transport and insurance, shipping documents and how shortages or defects will be resolved. Have a freight forwarder and customs specialist review product classification and import requirements in both countries before the final payment.
4. Check product-specific rules
Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade explains that exports are generally permitted under the export regime except for goods prohibited or restricted by applicable rules and agreements. Specific products and destinations may require additional documents or checks. Ask the relevant specialists to confirm the requirements for your exact shipment.
Before confirming the order
- Are the specification and reference sample approved in writing?
- Do the supplier’s identity and bank details match the paperwork?
- Are price, quantity, currency, payment schedule and production date clear?
- Have you agreed delivery, packaging, documents and quality inspection?
- Has a specialist checked import requirements at the destination?
